How we work

It starts with listening

Global education systems – bold in their ambitions, noble in their aims, and deserving of public trust – are nevertheless littered with well-known inefficiencies and challenges, some as threatening as to be existential.  At the heart of many of these challenges are often misunderstandings, or broken trusts.  We aim to address both by encouraging new conversations between a more dynamic and diverse array of actors and contributors, animated and refreshed by new well-springs and streams of data, resources, insights and wisdom.  Our vision is shaped by diverse forces – ranging from the salons of the enlightenment or mid-twentieth century Georgetown to contributions from the Santa Fe Institute’s Center for the Study of Complex Adaptive Systems.

Together, we prototype

Working with an intentionally diverse array of actors, we’ll build a suite of designs and artifacts for critique and iterative improvement cycles. Our unique sequence and methods for scenario planning are meant to stress-test how well a new concept or approach will withstand environmental extremes — too often ignored by the worlds’ traditional policy-making bodies.

We’re playing a long-game

Rather than in-and-out consulting arrangements that often yield outcomes that collapse without ongoing support, we seek out clients and projects where we are accountable for long term successes that act as durable forces for good in the world. If you’re looking for such partnership, too, and think we can help — please refer to our “Contact Us” page.
